This Candid VR Tour Is the Nearest Most of Us Will Ever Get to the Playboy Mansion
If you’ve ever wondered what goes on beyond the walls of the Playboy Mansion (hmm, tough one), then wonder no more. In celebration of its 2017 Playmate of the Year, the men’s magazine kingpin has swung open its gates and waved in the public for a guided VR tour.
Sadly, this isn’t a no-holds-barred affair; the tour is led by Cooper Hefner, son of Hugh, who introduces spaces such as the games room and library while recounting a handful of legendary tales — like the time John Lennon stubbed his cigarette out in a work of art by Henri Matisse. While there’s no sign of the Hef, we do glimpse some bunnies lining up a game of pool.
“My dad likes to keep everything as is,” says Cooper Hefner, which partly explains why the decor is so horrendously outdated. Take the tour here.
In other news, Nobu has just opened a luxury hotel premises in Malibu.
